HNA Yoho District
A mixed-use district where the masterplan, not the architecture, sets the performance.
At district scale the decisions that matter are orientation, block spacing, shade, planting and movement. They are also the decisions that are free to make and ruinously expensive to undo.
The masterplan sets performance requirements plot by plot, so the ambition survives being handed to half a dozen different design teams over a decade.
